This is a really interesting place to meet up and try out high tea. Keep in mind, if you're a picky eater, that most tea sandwiches contain mayonnaise, so you might be better off doing scones or a dessert option. Their selection of tea was amazing, and the service was good. I only wish their hours were more convenient! There is extra parking around the back if their lot appears full.

My favorite place to visit for a ladies date! Definitely spring for the "high tea" where you get cute mini sandwiches, desserts, soup or salad, and unlimited teas. My favorite teas are carnival ride and the seasonal blueberry muffin. There is a cute little store in the front. My only complaint is that while the staff is friendly, they can occasionally be slow and forgetful though they mean well (and I have been approximately 10 times now). Despite this, this will remain one of my favorite places! I visit monthly!

I had a nice experience in this quaint little shop but I gave it two stars for the following reasons: 1. It took forever for our tea to come out to us. 2. I tried the chocolate cherry tea and the lavender tisane and both tasted exactly the same. The only Chai on the menu was formulated for the American palate and all I tasted was cinnamon. 3. The soup was a chicken corn chowder that I don't personally feel belongs on a High Tea menu. 4. We had to ask two times for more lemon curd because each time there was not enough to go around for the entire table. The tea sandwiches were very good and my scone was excellent. The desserts were good but once again there was no wow factor.

Really nice place to meet girlfriends to catch up over high tea. Casual environment, some people dress up and others go in jeans. Prices are reasonable. They have tea related items for sale that are too cute. Little and big girls play house. I think it's perfect in our town. Glad my friends invited me there. :)

Not just hand made pastries and quality teas; but also the timeless tradition of high tea. Wonderful, local business to remember moments in conversation with the ones you keep close.

I've been to Tea by Two several times and have had a wonderful and relaxing experience each time. So much so I set up a bridal shower for my sister that she still talks about 4 months later. In regards to that, I have to thank the staff as we ran over our allotted time (only 2 hours) somewhat as some of our party were late and ran into their closing time opening her gifts but thankfully were we not made to feel rushed to leave.

Erin, My dissatisfaction stems not from the policy itself but in a) the manner in which the systems in place failed to inform us of the policy prior to our reserved time and b) the manner in which we were treated at the shop once we were informed of the policy. That said, should you wish to accept us again (sans baby), I am willing to give Tea by Two a second chance - everyone slips up and everyone should deserve a second chance. Please feel free to contact me to set up a time we can come in.

Went to Tea by Two today for a group gathering and everything was wonderful! All the staff was attentive and had great customer service! Of course the tea and food were great as well- comfort food at its best. The cream of crab soup was delicious. Overall it was a A+ experience!!

The first time I went there the food wasn't that great. Gave it another chance and it was pretty good. Of course the tea is good and it's cute inside. I think the could make better desserts. It's expensive for what you get. Also, they have a no kids under 5 policy, which they are entitled to have, but is sort of silly I think. Nice for a special lunch out but not somewhere I would go often.

I love going to tea, and this was a very nice place - not too fru-fru and the food was delicious. The service was good. That being said, I like to linger over tea, and I felt a little rushed by the staff. I'd recommend asking for a tea cozy right off the bat. It's not their default to bring them with your teapot (weird), and our tea quickly got cold.

Purchased a LivingSocial coupon to use at Tea by Two. I called to make a reservation three days before the coupon expired and was pleasantly informed that my coupon would not be honored because they were booked up. When I asked if they might extend the expiration date they said no chance. Of course they said that, they already have my money! A business that can't honor its commitments shouldn't be in business at all as far as I'm concerned. I hope they go out of business so some honorable business people can take their place.

I have been to Tea by Two for special occasions and also a small tea and scones lunch. Tea by Two does wonderful special events. I went to Tea by Two most recently for the Mother's Day tea. It was a special priced meal that included two teas, and the high tea selections of scones, little sandwiches and desserts. The Mother's Day tea included a blueberry scone with lemon curd and clotted cream. Amazing as always. The sandwiches were a pea and ricotta crostini, a ham and blueberry sandwich and a cucumber and mint sandwich. The crostini was a little bland, but everything else was very good. The desserts were panna cotta, strawberry biscuit and lime cake. The sandwiches and desserts are served on a tiered serving plate. A very nice presentation. The two teas selected for the lunch were both very good. One was decaf, one was not. The service is extremely attentive. The ladies who work there were always making sure we had enough tea or if we needed more lemon curd, etc. Tea by Two also has a great gift shop. I really like the feel of the tea room. It is an adorable old house and has been beautifully decorated. You can tell the women who run the tea room have put a lot of thought and planning into the design and coordinating of events. Their attention to detail is definitely noticed.

How I love Tea by Two! It is such a quaint, wonderful little place. I always make reservations and take a good book. I usually order the Afternoon Tea with a scone, sandwiches, and an assortment of sweets. I go through two pots of tea, and they let me switch flavors if I want. The service is attentive but not bothersome, they are very good at letting me read and enjoy my time (never feel like I'm being rushed out). The decor is lovely and I've never had issues with children or it being too loud. I also adore their gift shop and usually take some tea and a scone home with me. A great little place and a perfect way to pamper yourself a little.

Getting a coupon from Living Social was such a great deal. You get two High Afternoon teas for the price of one. A bargain because one is $20. So for that same amount you got two. Since the amount of food for tea is usually minimal this was a good reason to head out to Harford County. We have been here before usually once a year and also when they first opened. The place is so inviting when you enter. The gift shop has lots of adorable items related to tea and not related. Lots of tea cups, writing paper, etc. I never buy anything because I think they are too expensive but sometime there are some cute things on clearance. The house is tastefully decorated. The table cloths today were gingham blue or yellow with a strip tap the opposite color. They have cute shelves on the wall with tea cups and pots on them. After drinking pots and pots of tea you will need to use the bathroom and dont miss it anyway. It has the cutest wallpaper. They really do the tea room theme with style. The tables are well spaced but the room is small so you can overhear others at tables around you. Today it was all women and most were getting the high tea. For the first time I saw a gentleman having tea with a lady. I guess she owes him big time! The soup we ordered was lobster bisque and it was quite good. A nice creamy taste and spiced as well. The best part of the meal. We could have also chosen a salad and it had cranberries, walnuts, and various leaf lettuces, The table next to us ordered that and it looked good. The rest of the meal there was no choice. It arrived in a three tiered dish. The first layer was scones. They were white chocolate and came with a sweet cream and custard. They were cold and I prefer them warm . They were ok, a little dry, and . nothing really special. The four sandwiches which you know are small were ham, chicken, cucumber, and egg salad. The bread was a little stiff on some of them. I enjoyed the egg salad as it had some nice seasoning on it. The cucumber with cream cheese no reason to comment on that.....the ham was not very good. Not really any taste to it. My favorite was the chicken because they put it on raisin bread which gave it a nice taste, Desserts were a little piece of cake with creamy icing. Again not sure if it was homemade there as it tasted like something from a store bakery. The cookie which I forgot what it was and this is a good thing as it was hard. I dont enjoy hard cookies. The last dessert I did enjoy it was like a cheese cake in a small tart. It has some honey on the top and that is what gave it the great taste. We tried four teas. The Summer Mango was my favorite. The two herbal teas we tried were good. The one with caramel was sweet and needed no sugar. The service was good. All our questions about the tea were answered . I thought the tea took longer than it should to brew. We had to wait for it to finish our dessert. The dining area was full so I am assuming that was the problem. We will go to the tea room again as we have found it is the one we like the best in this area. Their prices have gone up of course but I feel the quality has not followed. But if we are up for a road trip this would not be our choice. .

Every Christmas for the last few years, my husband has purchased a gift card for my daughter and I to use at Tea by Two. It is one of our favorite holiday traditions. We always try several different teas. My daughter usually orders one of the tea specials and I usually order quiche. We have enjoyed every visit to Tea by Two. The food is tasty and the service has always been nice.
